A decision support model for the dismantling of massive concrete structures in nuclear facilities

Description

The prevailing complexity for the dismantling of massive concrete structures in nuclear plants requires a careful choice of the dismantling methods and a detailed sequence planning for every structural element. The dismantling planners have a large method spectrum different manner at the disposal. On the one hand the planning engineers, however, stand concerning the options of the individual methods before the choice which method is from the technical and economic view the most suitable one for the most different boundary conditions. Furthermore a single method cannot, as a rule, be used for all upcoming tasks so that different dismantling methods are applied which have different process parameters that have to be considered at the method choice. Component specifically general conditions of the most different nature have as well to keep. Therefore method combinations or subsystems are needed to eliminate disturbing process parameters or to follow predefined boundary conditions. The interdependence of the process parameters on the technique side with each other as well as with the component specific requirements demands a synchronous consideration of many details and implicates to regard many interpendent features and to carry out a structural coupling. Till now no standardized complex solution exists, that reaches an efficient method choice under analysis of all possible procedures, procedure combinations and tools under consideration of the local boundary conditions and represents an expandable collection of expert knowledge. In this thesis a model RKA is introduced concerning the problem field mentioned above and focusing a efficient method choice for the dismantling of massive concrete structures in nuclear plants. This model consists of three components: the request component, the knowledge component and the decision component. In the request component all required data concerning the locality, the boundary conditions to be maintained, the requirements on the dismantling and the concrete and armoring structure of the component are acquired so that for the first time the basic prerequisites are created to carry out a method choice component specifically. The knowledge component forms the frame of the acquisition of data concerning the dismantling methods. Besides the description which methods can use for which purposes, an explanation of the procedure of the data acquisition is carried out with the representation which data have to be included in the data pool. The complete data pool provides an expandable expert knowledge about all dismantling methods existing on the market. The combination and processing of the data of the request and knowledge component is finally carried out in the decision component so that at first can be decided, which methods, in principle, are suitable for the dismantling of the component described in the request component. A reduced method pool is arose. About a search algorithm the optimal method or the optimal method combination is selected from the reduced method pool - depending on user request.
