Physiological evaluation and radiation sensitivity of some sugarcane varieties in south Vietnam
- 1. Center for Nuclear Techniques, Ho Chi Minh City (Viet Nam)
Description
The first steps for sugarcane improvement were begun, including: conducting physiological analyses of some sugarcane varieties treated by gamma radiation; determining suitable dose ranges for induction of mutation for VN84-4137 and My55-14 varieties. The results show that all of samples were dead at 10 krad up, and 4 and 5 krad could be suitable doses for induction of mutation to VN84-4137 and My55-14 varieties. (NHA)
