n0 ∝ B02 relation and density limit of a magnetised electron plasma supported by Penning discharge
Description
n0 ∝ B02 relation of a magnetised electron plasma supported by Penning discharge has been observed in the experiments. A theoretical explanation is given based on Poisson's equation with one assumption about the plasma temperature. The results also show that the plasma density is limited by the plasma radius and the plasma temperature, which agrees with the experimental observation. (orig.)
