Deformation and annealing response of TD-nickel chromium

  • 1. Exxon Production Research Co., Houston, TX

Description

Recrystallization and grain growth processes occurring in TD-NiCr were examined with respect to deformation severity, annealing time, and temperature. Results show two different annealing responses depending on initial state and processing history prior to annealing. The as-received sheet showed a very large increase in grain size, while cold rolling produced an annealing behavior similar to primary recrystallization and normal grain growth. (U.S.)
