Description
More recent estimates of the number of mortalities from cancer and leukaemia attributable to radiation are just as well discussed as problems arising in connection with quantitative assessments of those risks and the conclusions that may be drawn with regard to radiation protection measures. Considering the bulk of documentary material and theories deserving to be given attention in any such analysis, it is obvious that many interesting topics could not or at least not thoroughly enough be treated within the limits of this study. Es werden neuere Abschaetzungen der strahlenbedingten Erhoehung der Mortalitaetsraten bei Krebs und Leukaemie vorgestellt, einige Probleme der Quantifizierung des Risikos aufgezeigt und moegliche Schlussfolgerungen fuer den praktischen Strahlenschutz genannt. In Anbetracht der Fuelle des bei der Analyse derartiger Risiken zu beruecksichtigenden Materials an Daten und Hypothesen auf der einen Seite sowie der Begrenztheit des zur Verfuegung stehenden Platzes andererseits, musste vieles Interessante weggelassen oder vereinfacht dargestellt werden.
