Description

Half-lives of 3+/2 levels in odd-mass Bi nuclei and of 1+/2 levels in sup(187,191)Au have been measured using mass-separated sources from the ISOCELE separator. The results are Tsub(1/2)(201Bi, 1085 keV level) = 260+-30 ps, Tsub(1/2)(203Bi, 1312.8 keV level) = 410+-30 ps, Tsub(1/2)(205Bi, 1709.2 keV level) = 105+-10 ps, Tsub(1/2)(207Bi, 2060.0 keV level) = 103+-10 ps, Tsub(1/2)(187Au, 19.5 keV level) = 7+-1 ns and Tsub(1/2)(191Au, 11.2 keV level) = 15.5+-1.5 ns. An M1 + (9+-2)% E2 character has been determined for the 239 keV γ-transition in 201Bi. Absolute reduced transition probabilities have been deduced and compared with systematics, model predictions and values for corresponding transitions in Tl and Ir nuclei. (orig.)
