Possible physical stochastic vibration mechanisms in rf squids

  • 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kharkov. Fiziko-Tekhnicheskij Inst. Nizkikh Temperatur

Description

The processes of giant noise generation in rf SQUIDs are studied experimentally. According to Josephson junctions characteristics and external excitation, the stochastic oscillations are shown to be due to different time-lag mechanisms in a dynamic system. The time-lag for the interferometers studied is determined by the recharge of a Josephson junction capacitor (tau sub(RC)), by the processes of quasi-particle relaxation (tau sub(epsilon)) and by the relaxation time of junction heat processes (tau sub(T))
