S. 395: A Bill to require the Secretary of Energy to establish the Fast Flux Text Facility as a research and development center to be known as the Research Reactor User Complex, introduced in the Senate of the United States, One Hundred Second Congress, First Session, February 7, 1991

The purpose of the Fast Flux Test Facility is for a multi-mission center for conducting research and development on isotopes and energy, operated by the US DOE in partnership with international and domestic user organizations. The facility, which would be known as the Research Reactor User Complex, would be located at the Hanford Reservation in Washington and could be used for the following purposes: production of industrial and medical isotopes for use or sale; irradiation services to support research or commercial objectives; and the production of steam to be used or sold by the non-Federal entities who have entered into the agreement
