Structure and luminescence of barium uranium disilicate (BaUO2Si2O6)

Description

The crystal structure and luminescence spectroscopy of BaUO2Si2O6 are reported. Neutron diffraction followed by Rietveld analysis reveals a structure related to SrVSi2O7, haradaite. Luminescence spectroscopy at various temperature reveal that the ND determined crystal structure cannot be completely correct
