Description
Knowledge of temporal and spatial variations of radionuclides like 137Cs and 85+89Sr in the ground environment around radioactive waste disposal facilities helps in taking remedial steps if required in safeguarding the man and his environment. The present study attempts to understand the migration patterns of radionuclides in the unsaturated zone at radioactive disposal facility at Kalpakkam with the help of self diffusion coefficients.
