  • 3. University of California at Los Angeles (United States)

Description

These proceedings represent papers presented at the Workshop on Nonlinear Dynamics in Particle Accelerators held in Arcidosso, Italy. The workshop was sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the University of California Los Angeles, the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center(SLAC), the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN, Italy), The national Institute for Alternative Energy Sources(ENEA, Italy), and the Trieste Synchrotron(Italy). The papers presented include the following topics: Beam-beam and multiparticle effects in Storage Rings, experimental techniques and observations of nonlinear dynamics in particle accelerators, performance limitations in Storage Rings, and theoretical and computational technique. Many aspects of beam transport were discussed. There were 31 papers presented and all have been abstracted for the Energy Science and Technology database
