Radioosteomyelitis of the jaw and its prevention

A survey is given of the causes of radioosteomyelitis after radiotherapy of malignancies, contributing factors (dose, source, irradiation procedures, state of teeth prior to irradiation), methods of therapy, prevention consisting in the extraction of teeth before and after irradiation and complex stomatological care after irradiation.
