Description

Resting state functional MRI (rs-fMRI) is a method of studying brain functional activation using blood-oxygen-level dependence contrast functional MRI (BOLD-fMRI) at rest. The approach can explore the brain function physiological and pathological conditions. It is non-radiative, simple and feasible. It has great value for the early diagnosis of neuropsychiatric diseases and evaluating therapeutic efficacy. In recent years, with the rapid development of image data analysis technology, rs-fMRI has become an effective tool for the study of brain function, and its clinical application has been gradually expanded. This article aims at making an overview and evaluation about its technical principle, method and clinical application in neuropsychiatric diseases. (authors)
