Liver function in survivors of the atomic bomb

Description

Screening liver function tests were obtained in survivors of the atomic bomb and matched nonexposed controls. Subjects with test values greater than two standard deviations from the mean received a detailed clinical evaluation. There was no evident long-term effect of exposure to the atomic bomb on liver function, detectable clinical liver disease, or hepatic histology
