Effect of pH of initial substances preparation on properties of vanadium catalysts of sulfur dioxide oxidation

  • 1. AN SSSR, Novosibirsk. Inst. Kataliza

Description

The effect of pH of the vanadate solution on the change of chemical and phase composition of active compounds at different stages of the synthesis of vanadium catalysts is considered. It has been found that the pH decrease from 5 to 0.5 substantially affects the chemical and phase position of the system forming at initial stages and during air calcination as well as the homogeneity of active phase melt. Upon catalyst treatment by the reaction mixture near composition phases are formed
