Measurement of neutral particle concentration near Halley comet by the PLAZMAG-1 device on the Vega-1,-2 space probes

Description

Measurement technique and experimental results obtained from Vega-1 and Vega-2 space probes are presented. To mesure gas concentration Faraday pressure cylinder oriented by the space probe velocity vector relatively the comet was used. The cometocentric profile of neutral particle density obtained on Vega-1 and Vega-2 space probes on the basis of CFC data is presented
