Identification of potential rupture locations at the high-pressure emergency core cooling system piping within loop no. 2 of unit 1 of the Mochovce NPP
Description
The static and seismic calculation was performed for the segment from the cold leg socket to the steam generator box penetration. The rupture analysis was based on the procedure specified by the Standard Review Plan 3.6.2 for safety class 1 piping. It was found that the piping segment satisfies requirements of the relevant standard of the Association of Mechanical Engineers in normal operating conditions and does not exceed the rupture criteria as per Standard Review Plan 3.6.2 along its entire length; hence, rupture has only to be postulated in the locations of attachment to the socket and to the pressurizer upper lid
