Modeling of neutron cross sections energy dependence in the region of unresolved resonances

Description

An analytical procedure of constructing neutron cross sections in the region of anti GITA approximately anti D, where resonance interference is essential, is presented. The R-matrix formalism is used. The relatively simple case of single-channel scattering and multi-channel radiative capture is considered. Analytical expressions for energy dependences of the total and radiative capture cross sections are obtained. The expressions can be used in estimating more complicated cross section functionals
