Study on spin flip in Fe3BO6 by a magnetic field
Description
The temperature range of spin reorientation in Fe3BO6 from the c axis (phase GITA2) to the a axis (phase GITA3) in an external magnetic field (H) parallel to the c axis of the crystal was investigated by the Moessbauer method. It is shown that spin flip by the external magnetic field occurs as a phase transformation of the first kind. In a narrow temperature range the magnetic moment flip leads to a state characterized by coexistence of the two magnetic phases GITA2 and GITA3. The phase diagram in H-T variables was investigated. An increase in the external magnetic field (Hlongc) expands the region of coexistence of the intermediate state
