Process for producing oxidic sintered nuclear fuel pellets
Description
Powdered UO2 with random properties in mixed with a powder containing rare earth oxide whose particles have a fluorite-type crystal lattice at least in a surface layer and/or will form this type of crystal lattice upon sintering. The mixture is compressed into pellets and sintered in a reducing gas atmosphere at 15000C to 17500C to obtain high-density sintered pellets. (orig./PW)

Uran-Dioxid-Basispulver mit beliebigen Eigenschaften wird mit seltenerd-oxidhaltigem Pulver gemischt, dessen Partikel mindestens in einer Oberflaechenschicht ein Kristallgitter des Fluorittypus aufweisen und/oder beim Sintern bilden. Dieses wird zu Presslingen kompaktiert, die in einer reduzierend wirkenden Gasatmosphaere bei 15000C bis 17500C zu hochdichten Sinterkoerpern gesintert werden. (orig./PW)Files
