ESR study of reactions of ligand redistribution between vanadium bis-diethyl-dithiocarbamate and nickel bis-diethyl-dithiophosphate

Description
Studied is possible ligand redistribution in the vanadyl(2)-diethyldithiocarbamate VO(DDC)2-nickel(2)-diethyldithiophosphate Ni(DDP)2 by the ESR method in the toluene solution. The V(4):Ni(2) ratio in initial solutions changes from 1:0.25 to 1:2. The time dependencies of the relative concentration of the forming complexes at a different V(4):Ni(2) ratio are considered. The relative complex concentration is judged by the intensity of their ESR spectra. It is established that in the course of VO(DDC)2 and Ni(DDP)2 interaction there is a ligand exchange with a primary formation of vanadium(2) complexes with diethylditiophosphate and nickel(2) with diethylditiocarbamate
