Variation in the oxygen potential of a mixed-oxide fuel with simulated burnup
Description
The oxygen potentials of solid solutions of UO2, PuO2, and the oxides of selected fission-product elements simulating stages in the burnup of a mixed-oxide fuel to 10 atom per cent have been measured at temperatures from 900 to 11000C. At a given temperature and deviation from stoichiometry, the oxygen potential increases linearly with simulated burnup. (Auth.)
