Origin of cosmic ray positrons and γ-ray galactic emission in the frame of diffusion model
Description
Relativistic proton distribution in the Galaxy is calculated in the frame of cosmic ray diffusion model. Calculations are compared with cosmic ray density distribution in a galactic disk determined according to SAS-2 and COS-B satellite data on diffusion γ radiation observations. Calculations of the cosmic ray positron component spectrum showed that positrons with energies E < 10 GeV were formed at interaction of cosmic rays only with atomic hydrogen. In the energy range E > 10 GeV the positron spectrum is not described in the frame of the model considered, and it is necessary to suppose presence in the Galaxy some additional positron sources emitted particles with hard spectra. The calculations of γ radiation showed that galactic halo radiation constitutes ∼ 30% of the total γ-ray emission of the Galaxy at Eγ ∼ 0.1-5 GeV (Eγh ∼ 3x1038 erg/c), the rest part of the emission is caused by the galactic disk (Eγd ≅ 1039 erg/c); about half of the observed high-latitude γ-ray flux is cased by the emission of the Metagalaxy. The origin of γ-ray emission deficite from the galactic center detected by the COS-B satellite is discussed
