Direct display of the mean electron energy in moving striations
Description
Two Langmuir probes and a hot probe have been used to obtain a direct oscillographic display of the mean electron energy in large amplitude, moving striations. The reliability of the technique is examined in a neon discharge (p0 = 0.78 Torr; Isub(d) = 60 mA and 2r = 5.5 cm). (author)
