Preparation and cesium uptake properties of high silica porous glass

Description
High silica porous glass samples were prepared from sodium borosilicate glass by inducing phase separation followed by acid leaching. The cesium uptake properties of these samples were tested using radiotracer technique. Some of these samples were found to show selective uptake of cesium in presence of sodium.
