Influence of transition element doping on the properties of high permeability alloys

Creators

Description

The following trends in the studies on the development of permalloys are analyzed: establishment of physical regularities which permit to determine the optimum composition of alloys based on nickel with high magnetic susceptibility; possibilities of using anomalous effects of electric conductivity in permalloys; establishment of optimum procedures of thermal treatment of permalloys. On the basis of the solid structural model the new technique of optimum permalloy doping is developed taking into account that the mean value S+d of electrons for atom nsub(s+d) should satisfy the inequality 9.25 < nsub(s+d) < 9.375. In conformity with this technique it is advisable to use Me from the 5 group with 3-8 atom.% concentration for permalloys consisting of three components. For the permalloy consisting of four components Nisub(3)[Fesub(1-x-y)Mesub(x)(5)Mesub(y)(6)], where Mesub(x)(5), Mesub(y)(6) are the elements of the equation y=0.25-1.5x, where x and y are expressed in atomic percent
