Self-consistent calculations of β and γ vibrations in deformed nuclei

  • 1. Joint Institute for Nuclear Research

Description

A self-consistent model with separable effective forces is used to calculate the characteristics of the ground and vibrational states of deformed nuclei. The dependence of the interaction constants and the momenta and energies of the β and γ vibrations on the quadrupole deformation parameter has been studied. On the basis of these calculations it is concluded that in describing the properties of the vibrational states it is necessary to take into account the interaction in the particle-particle channel
