The measurement of practical radiation fields and calculation of ambient and effective dose equivalent
Creators

Description
A method was developed for the characterisation of photon radiation fields using collimated filtered Geiger-Mueller detectors. With information produced by this equipment, calculations were made of the various monitoring quantities, HE, H*(10) and Hp(10), for a range of typical radiation environments. The main conclusion is that worker orientation has the major effect on the ratio of HE to H*(10) rather than energy distribution. (author)
