Description
The storage of disused radioactive sources is to place disused radioactive sources in a single facility, provide for their isolation, and intend to retrieve them later. It may be stored on site or tn a specially designed centralized storage facility. This paper mainly compares the various options of on-site storage, and gives the problems and experiences that need to be considered for storage in the two kinds of centralized storage facilities on the ground and underground. Based on the current situation of storage of disused radioactive sources in China, suggestions were put forward for the establishment of long-term storage facilities for disused radioactive sources with the function of conditioning disused radioactive sources, the formulation of long-term storage standards for disused radioactive sources, and the clarification of the receiving requirements for long-term storage of disused radioactive sources.
