Nuclear reactor control rod support
Description
The patent describes a nuclear reactor control rod support, which is designed to increase the wear resistance of the control rods and to increase the operating life of the drive shaft. The control rods are subject to wear because of the sliding contact with the guide elements. The patent design reduces the wear by periodically rotating the rods, in order to change the location of the contact point. This is carried out by a displacement device coupled to the control rods.
