Evaluation of the transfer parameters of radionuclides in China

  • 1. China Inst. for Radiation Protection, Taiyuan (China)
  • 2. State Environmental Protection Administration, Beijing (China)

Description

The transfer parameters involved in models to calculate the population dose from radioactive releases are compiled and evaluated. The data are mainly drawn from literatures in China, which are derived from laboratory experiments, field studies, or paired values from environmental monitoring measurements. The natural radionuclides involved are U, Th, and 226Ra, 210Po, 210Pb, etc., and the artificial radionuclides are 90Sr, 137Cs, 131I, 60Co. The methodology in selecting and evaluating the data is discussed. Further research suggestions are proposed. (author)
