Two documents are proposed to address the soon-coming situation of the French gas system, a press communique and a Power Point contribution to a press conference. The first one briefly presents the perspectives of the French gas system for the winter 2022-2023, with the necessary adaptation of flows because of the war in Ukraine, and two scenarios which have been elaborated (a reference scenario with a mild winter, and a scenario with a very cold winter). The different possible levers for action to prevent deficit situations are also presented. The contribution to the press conference discusses the present gas network balance (flows before and after the war in Ukraine, level of storages, methane terminals and their interconnection). It also presents the winter outlook: consumption components to be met, scenario simulations, deficit in case of cold peak during the first part of the winter with an increasing risk for the coverage of a cold day. It presents the different levers for actions for next winter and for the future: to absorb possible deficits, and mutual combination of gas and electricity
