Monte Carlo calculations for Helias configurations
Creators
Description
Transport coefficients obtained with monoenergetic particles (using pitch angle scattering and energy relaxation) have been convoluted with a Maxwellian particle distribution. Transport coefficients with Maxwellian particle distributions are shown for the configuration Helias 50 B 5 (β=4.9%). Particle transport coefficients as well as energy transport coefficients for this configuration have been computed for ions (deuterons) as well as for electrons. From these, estimates of confinement times have been derived. (orig.)
