Description
Among the malignant kidney tumors, carcinoma of the renal pelvis have a very low occurrence of 8%. In about 8-30% of the cases, synchronous or metachronous secondary carcinoma are found, most frequently located in the ipsilateral ureter, less frequently in the contralateral ureter or in the bladder. Yousem et al. report a synchronous secondary bladder carcinoma in patients with carcinoma of the renal pelvis in 10% of the cases. The article explains the radiographic detection and spreading diagnostics of a renal pelvis carcinoma involving such a secondary manifestation. (Orig./AJ)
Abstract (German)
Unter den malignen Nierentumoren sind die Nierenbeckenkarzinome mit einer Haeufigkeit von etwa 8% (4-25%) relativ selten. Dabei findet man in ca. 8-30% der Faelle syn- oder metachrone Zweitkarzinome, meist im ipsilateralen, seltener im kontralateralen Ureter oder in der Harnblase. Einen synchronen Harnblasenbefall bei Patienten mit Nierenbeckenkarzinom geben Yousem et al. in 10% der Faelle an. Im folgenden wird ueber die roentgenologische Detektion und Ausbreitungsdiagnostik eines Nierenbeckenkarzinoms mit einer solchen Zweitmanifestation berichtet. (orig./AJ)Additional details
