Mass spectra in copper plasma

Description
Metal plasma of the plasma density of 1012 to 1014 cm-3 and the electron temperature of about 20V has been produced by a vacuum DC arc discharge at the pressure of 4x10-6 Torr and a magnetic field above 3 kG. The present paper describes the resolution of a single focusing mass spectrometer which measures the charged state of copper ions. (author)
