Charge exchange of a molecular ion on a neutral molecule with allowance for vibrational transitions in the collision process
Creators
Description
Charge exchange of molecular ions on molecules is discussed in the framework of the theory of sudden perturbations, which permits one to take into account over a wide range of kinetic energies of the collision and in simple analytical form the influence of the vibrational structure of the colliding particles on the probability of charge exchange. The results of the analytical calculations are compared with numerical calculations for the simplest molecules H+2+H2
