Torus type thermonuclear devices

Description

Purpose: To facilitate assembling and dismantling of torus type thermonuclear devices by dividing the structure of divertor coils or magnetic limiter coils disposed within the toroidal coils thereby eliminating the need of coil disconnecting and connecting works. Constitution: The divertor coils or magnetic limiter coils are made into divisional structures, in which current returning paths are provided for the coils so that these coils and the toroidal coils are not crossed to each other. The divertor coils and the magnetic limiter coils are formed by even number of coils respectively with a plurality of turns including the current returning paths. Accordingly, the device can be dismantled and assembled easily without coils disconnecting or connecting works. (Horiuchi, T.)
