Description
A turbidimetric titration method is proposed for the determination of uranyl ion by α (N-benzylamine) methanephosphonic acid. This acid (H2L) forms three stable complexes of the formula UO2(HL)+, UO2(HL)2 and UO2L. These complexes are very slightly soluble in water and can be used for turbidimetric titration of UO22+. The proposed method permits the determination of millgrame amounts of UO22+ in the presence of monovalent and divalanet metal ions. Be(2) and multivalent metal ions must be absent. (author)
