Calorimetric measurements of medium-energy protons bombarding beryllium, carbon and aluminium targets
Creators
- 1. Inst. of Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Moscow (Russia)
Description
A method and results for the determination of energy deposition has been developed and applied to measurements with 0.2 m diameter by 0.6 m thick beryllium, carbon and aluminium targets bombarded by 0.8, 1.0 and 1.2 GeV protons. The experimental data has been compared with results obtained via Monte Carlo simulation of three dimensional hadron-electromagnetic cascades. (orig.)
