Applicability of UPM common cause failure analysis method in probabilistic safety assessment
Description
This paper first briefly describes the common cause failure (CCF) analysis method-Unified Partial Method (UPM), then compares the UPM with another commonly used CCF method and describes the validity and applicability of UPM for CCF analysis in system fault tree analysis and probabilistic safety assessment based on the fault tree analysis of high pressure safety injection system in 300 MW nuclear power plant.
