Turbulent flow through wall subchannels of rod bundles (P/D = 1,12, W/D = 1,06)
Description
Measurements of the mean velocity, of the wall shear stresses, and of the turbulence have been performed in a wall subchannel (P/D = 1,12, W/D = 1,06) of a rod bundle of four parallel rods. The structure of turbulence has been measured by two different methods. Both, the hot-wire method with single wires and anlog signal processing and the method with X-wires and digital signal processing have been applied. Moreover, the same measurements have been performed in a wall subchannel of a bundle of 37 rods with the same geometry. All results show fair agreement, which corroborates both measurement methods as well as the bundle of four rods for the simulation of a wall subchannel. (orig.)

An einem Stabbuendel aus vier parallelen Staeben in einem Rechteckkanal wurden Geschwindigkeits-Wandschubspannungs- und Turbulenzverteilungen im Wandkanal (P/D = 1,12 und W/D =1,06) gemessen. Die Messungen der Turbulenzstruktur wurden mit zwei verschiedenen Methoden vorgenommen. Verwendet wurden die Hitzdraht-Methode mit Einzeldraehten und analoger Signalverarbeitung und die Methode mit X-Draehten und digitaler Signalverarbeitung. Ausserdem wurden in einem Wandkanal mit gleicher Geometrie in einem 37- Stabbuendel die gleichen Messungen durchgefuehrt. Alle Messergebnisse stimmen weitgehend ueberein, was sowohl eine Bestaetigung der beiden Messmethoden als auch der 4-Stabgeometrie zur Simulation eines Wandkanals ist. (orig.)
