Imaging of intracranial tumors in the first year of life
Description
This paper reports on 22 infants with histologically proved brain tumors examined by CT. There were eight boys and 14 girls. Sixteen lesions were supratentorial in location. Histology revealed astrocytoma in seven patients (diencephalic in six and parietooccipital in one), primitive neuroectodermal tumor/medulloblastoma in six, choroid plexus tumor in three, malignant teratoma in two, dermoid in two, and one each of rhabdomyosarcoma and acute myeloid leukemia, Ct findings were correlated with those of US (five), angiography (six) and MR imaging (seven)
