Study of the lead titanate phase formation through the polymeric precursor method

Description

In this work were synthesised (Pb Ti O3) PT powders by the polymeric precursor method (Pechini). The powders were burned at temperatures between 300 and 600 deg C for one and two hours. The characterization was realized by X-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and nitrogen adsorption/desorption isotherms. Starting from 400 deg C, the lead titanate phase was obtained and was not observed the presence of the intermediate phase with formation of carbonate. (author)
