Special turbine trip and perturbation tests at peach bottom 2
Description
The General Electric Company (GE) in conjunction with the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and the Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO) conducted a series of special transient and stability tests at the Peach Bottom Unit 2 reactor beginning in April, 1977. The tests were performed to increase understanding of the physical phenomena and to qualify analytical models used to predict Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) transient behavior. 1 ref
