ClimAgri in Gironde - Territorial diagnosis of energy and greenhouse gases of agriculture and forestry. Leaflet of a return on experience

Description

This publication reports the application of the ClimAgri diagnosis tool to the Gironde territory to quantify and characterise the energy mobilised by agricultural productions, greenhouse gas emissions, carbon storage, the capacity of food production, and productions of renewable energies. It describes the greenhouse gas emission and storage processes. It shows that the Gironde territory displays an energy vulnerability three times higher than the French average, that the low greenhouse gas print is governed by emissions related to consumptions of energies and of inputs, and that carbon storage is significant but vulnerable. Challenges are then addressed with a presentation of a sketch of a strategy in favour of a reduction of emissions, of priority actions, of an assessment of a reduction scenario, and paths for change.
