Device for an intrareactor study of the Baushinger effect

Description
The paper is concerned with a description and a principle of operation of a device for an intrareactor measurement of the Bauschinger effect in metals within a wide temperature range under uniaxial sign-variable loading of specimens. The device permits automatic recording of measurement results by an XY-recorder. The specimen loading is pneumatic, smooth, controlled, the process of loading may be stopped at any level of deformation. Maximum loading is about 4000 N. Measurement results are presented for the influence of the reactor irradiation on the Bauschinger effect value in titanium
