Thermally insulating coating in particular for the upper cover of the vessel of a fast neutron nuclear reactor

Description

This coating is constituted by a series of panels each of which comprises a padding of superimposed metal cloths or lattices parallel with the upper cover to be thermally insulated. The panels as a whole are enclosed in at least one metal casing fixed against the cover and whose bottoms which are parallel with the panels are constituted by sealing metal sheets applied against said panels; the casing lateral faces connecting these sealing sheets are constituted by at least two interengaged angle irons. This can be applied to liquid metal cooled reactors for protecting the cover against the vapors and aerosols of said cooling metal

Ce revetement est forme par un ensemble de panneaux constitues chacun par un matelas de toiles ou treillis metalliques superposes s'etendant parallelement a la dalle a calorifuger; l'ensemble des panneaux est enferme a l'interieur d'au moins un boitier metallique fixe contre la dalle et dont les fonds paralleles aux panneaux sont formes par des toles d'etancheite plaquees contre ces panneaux, les cotes du boitier reliant les toles d'etancheite etant constitues par au moins deux cornieres en equerre s'emboitant mutuellement. Ceci est applicable aux reacteurs refroidis par metal liquide pour proteger la dalle vis-a-vis des vapeurs et aerosols de ce metal
