Are neutrinos massive?
Creators
Description
This short article presents the results of the Super-Kamiokande experiments that were announced at the 'neutrino 98' conference. The results confirm the shortage of muon neutrinos in atmospheric neutrinos and the peculiarity of their angular distribution. The explanation could be a neutrino oscillation allowing muon-neutrino to turn itself into another type neutrino but this hypothesis implies a massive muon-neutrino. (A.C.)
