Radiosterilization technology of chinese medicine Liuwei Dihuang powder
- 1. Shandong Academy of Agriculture Sciences, Jinan (China). Inst. for Application of Nuclear Energy
Description
The radiosterilization technology of Chinese medicine, Liuwei Dihuang powder, was studied. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between thickness of product and radiation dose rate (r -0.9947). Changes of the radiation technology could affect the result of radiation sterilization. In order to obtain an expected irradiation quality, a high absorbed dose uniformity should be kept. The D10 value of bacteria in Liuwei Dihuang powder was 2.17 kGy. When treated with dose of 10.0 kGy, the quality of the powder was not changed and the content of main components was kept as much as that of control
