Reddening of nova FH Serpentis 1970

Description

Measurements of the difflise interstellar lines at AA5780, 5796 in the early postmaximum spectra of Nova FH Ser indicate a value of EB -v 0.90. Spectroscopic observations are pointed out, which add support to the suggestion that considerable local reddening occurred during the deep transition stage of the nova.
